Today we enjoyed an amazing day in Burgos! Our feet thanked us profusely and we felt our bodies quickly mending from the high mileage days we have put in.
Naps, ice cream, and taking in morning plaza sunshine sums up the highlights of the day. And of course, a hotel with a tub where Jeanie can rock her double bath days. Visiting the cathedral may have been our favorite part of the day, a towering and ornate structure that overtakes the skyline of its vicinity. We have enjoyed greeting our fellow pilgrims throughout the day, as we recognize many travelers who occupy the outdoor cafes and taverns.
In the afternoon, Jeanie passed me her Dexcom, having me look at her levels from the day. It was in a fantastic range the whole day. We looked at each other, and she sighed, realizing how much easier it is to maintain good control when not putting her body in highly unpredictable settings. But Jeanie isn’t aiming for predictable. She is aiming to live life in its fullest variety- both a beautiful and difficult task. Well done Jeanie, for doing what is required to make it this far and to be tasting the paella of Burgos! We are proud of you!! We will check in tomorrow as we exit the city atmosphere and once again find our place upon the trails ahead.

Jenny, when Jeanie was going through the burger quandary the other day. “I think paella is the ticket.” I think it has protein. Anyhow, I laughed right out loud, with your beautiful foto of Jeanie and her paella. I guess I sent the mental message, huh? I’ll send her a note, even thought she hasn’t written anything yet. Good job re-energizing!!
have peace, joesevilla

Shit Jeanie!! I crossed my wires. No my blood sugar is okay. Simply a brain fart. I’ll see what Jenny had to say now.
Ellen and I were talking the other nite about getting you and Jenny down here for dinner in a couple months, after the dust has settled. I am soooo proud of what you are doing. Thank you.
